She's been training for four months ahead of her jockey debut.

And Vogue Williams received a sweet good luck kiss from her husband Spencer Matthews ahead of the Magnolia Cup on Ladies Day at the Glorious Goodwood festival on Thursday.

The Irish presenter, 33, lost out on the charity race, which included 11 other riders, to student Khadijah Mellah, 18, who became the first rider ever to race in a hijab in Britain.

For the race, Vogue joined stars including The Apprentice's Luisa Zissman and Olympic gold medallist Victoria Pendleton in climbing into the saddle for the Magnolia Cup, which kicked off Goodwood's famous Ladies Day.

The annual event is in aid of the charity Wellbeing of Women, which raises money of life-saving research into prevention, diagnosis and treatment across the breadth of female reproductive and gynaecological health.

After four months of training, Vogue was tipped as the bookies favourite to win the race and had been learning to ride after intensive practice with leading trainer Jim Boyle at South Hatch, Epsom.

However, the model lost out on the charity race to 18-year-old student Khadijah, who first sat on a race horse in April and trained at the Ebony Horse Club in Brixton.

Khadijah appeared both delighted and stunned by her win as she clutched her face in shock at the results, before triumphantly putting her arm up in the air.

Before the race, Vogue changed into white jodhpurs with a fuchsia floral cropped jacket and a neon pink horse riding hat ahead of the big race.
