He's made a name for himself in shows like The Wire and Luther, as well as Marvel's Thor film franchise, and now stars in the Fast and Furious spin-off Hobbs and Shaw.
But Idris Elba revealed on Thursday that the moment he felt the most famous was when he hosted the Met Gala, where he was greeted by Beyoncé, Lady Gaga, and Rihanna.
Making an appearance on People's Hot Ones segment, where he was made to eat spicy chicken wings while answering questions, the 46-year-old actor said: 'I had Lady Gaga coming up to me, Rihanna, Beyoncé coming up to me, shaking my hand.

The acclaimed British actor joked: 'Half the people didn’t know who I was. They were like, "Who? Oh, OK, OK, you was on The Wire! Yeah, yeah, yeah. My dad's seen that. It was great, apparently, great."'
