Mother-of-four Rebecca Judd faced every parent's nightmare recently when she discovered her pet cat Cherry was smothering her daughter Billie at night.

Speaking on KIIS FM's 3pm Pick-Up radio show on Monday, she said the situation got so bad she was forced to re-home the animal.

'Cherry the cat would hide at night when I was trying to put her out, she'd hide under the blankets of my daughter's bed,' explained the 36-year-old footy WAG.

She added, chillingly: 'And when [Cherry] thought it was safe, she'd go and sleep on my daughter's face.

'I would go into Billie's room to check on her and Cherry would be full covering her face.'
