Catherine Tyldesley admitted that quitting Coronation Street was 'the right thing to do for her family,' before laughing off the Strictly curse.
The actress, 35, made the candid confession while speaking with The Sun on Saturday, as she claimed leaving her job meant she could spend more time with her husband Tom and four-year-old son Alfie.
When asked if she'd ever return to her role as Eva Price, she explained: 'I’d love to at some point. I do get a little pang now and again. But it was the right thing to do for my family.

'I’m often able to do the school run now, which is lovely because of the age Alfie is. That’s one of the reasons I turned a lot of things down last year.
'He was starting pre-school and I thought I don’t want to look back and feel I missed that section of his life.'
She also went on to laugh off any thought of the Strictly curse, as she admitted her husband of three years is 'really chilled' and unconcerned by the notion, as he wants to support her as much as he can.
