After being spotted twice in one week without his ring on, Jax Taylor's wife Brittany Cartwright defended him and denied any tension in their 'awesome' marriage.

'I love his ring, I love seeing it on him,' the Kentucky-born 30-year-old told Us Weekly on Tuesday.

'We have to laugh about stuff because, I mean, there are articles saying that our marriage is in trouble and stuff like that. I'm just like, "Oh my goodness!" We have been so solid. I don't even worry about it because as long as we're happy and we're doing good, that's all that matters, you know?'

The Vanderpump Rules couple - who have no prenuptial agreement - only tied the knot on June 29 at the Kentucky Castle in Versailles after a year-long engagement.

Taylor (born Cauchi) now plans on getting 'a work-out ring' so that no one asks why he's not wearing his precious band - featuring a diamond from his late father's ring - when he goes to the gym 'twice a day.'

And while the newlyweds 'aren't officially trying just yet' for children, 'within the next year we're going to start trying.'
