() Vin Diesel's stunt double was pictured filming a high-octane chase scene along The Mall outside Buckingham Palace in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Bearing a striking resemblance to the 52-year-old screen star, the performer sped across the royal grounds in a flashy Noble MT 800 sports car - worth a whopping £150,000 - as roads by the residence closed down for filming.

Crew members returned to work on the forthcoming sequel nearly two months after a body double was left fighting for life after falling 30 ft on the set of the action movie.

The actor sported an all-black ensemble for his portrayal as Vin's character Dominic Toretto - a former criminal and retired street racer.

Opting for a typically edgy display, the body double rocked a leather biker jacket, baggy trousers and canvas trainers. 

The hunk appeared in his element as he took the vehicle out for a spin, moments before the cars overheated and stopped working.
