And Mickey Rourke left viewers feeling 'awkward' and 'cringed out' following his appearance on Good Morning Britain on Monday. 

The actor, 65, who struggled to answer questions asked by hosts Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid, baffled fans when he was asked to talk about his upcoming movie.

Puzzled as to which project they wanted to discuss, the confused actor asked: 'What film?'

He then briefly opened up on the movie, in which he plays a Nazi loving white supremacist, as he told: 'It was really nice to work with as it was a first time director who wasn’t scared of working with me he was excited.

'It was a really good experience, I went out and spoke to some people about white supremacists.'

Elsewhere, in the interview, that had to be cut short as a result of the star going off on a tangent, Piers attempted to delve into the actors thoughts on returning to the limelight for his appearance in the 2008 film The Wrestler.

Mickey said: 'I never felt like I was back on top.

'When you have been out of work for a decade then get work again I never really felt like I achieved much.'
