Osher Gunsberg has revealed the intense level of security needed to keep the identities of the celebrities making an appearance on The Masked Singer a secret.

Appearing on KIIS FM's Kyle & Jackie O Show on Monday, the 45-year-old TV host confessed the security surrounding the mysterious new show was unlike anything he had ever witnessed in his career.

'The level of secrecy around this show, it is extraordinary!' he told the radio show's hosts, Kyle Sandilands and Jackie 'O' Henderson.

Meanwhile, Jackie, 44 - who appears on the show's guessing panel - branded the security 'so over the top'.

Osher revealed some members of the security team were 'ex ASIO', and he said they would frequently clear the studio to 'sweep it for devices'.

'They just love all the cloak and dagger stuff about it. You know, the guys with the tattoos that mean stuff. Like, "only three other men who were with me in Afghanistan have this tattoo". It's like those kind of guys work on the show with us!' he said.
