Edwina Bartholomew is said to be panicking after her 'errant Tweet' about Channel Nine reporter Seb Costello made headlines last week.
Speaking to 6PR's Steve and Basil on Monday, entertainment reporter Peter Ford said Edwina has been left 'distraught' after a Tweet that was meant to be private ended up becoming public.
'She subsequently is panicking about it, and she's distraught about it', Peter said, adding: 'But that doesn't change the fact that it happened.'
Peter also regaled his telephone conversation with the Sunrise presenter, who is currently in London on maternity leave.
'I spoke to her last night in London and I said, 'What did Seb say when you rang him?'
'And she said, 'Well, I haven't'. And I said, 'Well, why don't you pick up the phone and do that, rather than issuing apologies to newspapers?'' Peter said.

'It might be better to apologise to the person you've offended. So she did do that, she did as I told her to do, and she rang and left a message, a voicemail message. He hasn't replied to that, not that he's obligated to do that,' he added.
