Charlize Theron plays Megyn Kelly in Bombshell, a drama examining the women from Fox News who stood up to former network chairman and CEO Roger Ailes.
But she remained coy when asked if Kelly had 'reached out' to her about the movie.
'No,' replied Charlize, when asked by Ellen DeGeneres in an interview to be screened on the upcoming Tuesday edition of her show.

Charlize then clarified: 'So we used a lot of source material in telling this story. And also spoke to a lot of women who were part of this story.
'Some of them were still working at Fox, some of them really didn't want their names out there. So as a team we've just decided to protect our sources.'
She said of her character: 'Meghan is aware of the film and I'm really hoping she will see it.'
