Former Rugby League star Beau Ryan is set to make his debut as the host of Channel 10's The Amazing Race Australia.
Now the TV presenter, 34, has spoken about what it was like to spend six weeks away from his wife of seven years, Kara, and their two young children - Remi, seven, and Jessie, two.
He admitted to The Daily Telegraph, on Saturday, that he is 'quite a needy guy' and that the longest he had ever been away from his family was two weeks.

Beau revealed he even considered flying his family to meet him half way, but decided against it.
