He was dubbed a 'stage-five clinger' for his intense behaviour with Angie Kent.

And Jamie Doran lived up to his reputation with a very awkward interview on The Project on Friday night.

The 39-year-old fireman raised eyebrows with his antics, including smooching a reluctant Ciarran Stott, who was also being interviewed, and calling himself 'an emotional beast'.

At the start of the interview, Jamie was encouraged by the show's hosts to give Ciarran a hug - instead, he cuddled him before giving the Brit a kiss on the cheek.

Ciarran eased away from his co-star, saying: 'That's  bit much. Don't get on stage five with me now!'

Jamie replied enthusiastically:  'Matey, that's stage six!'

He then refereed to himself as: 'The stage five clinger, that put out fires with his own tears' to a burst of nervous laughter from the studio audience.
