She's been a household name since her breakout role in Doctor Who, going on to star in Hollywood hits such as Jumanji and Guardians Of The Galaxy.
And Karen Gillan has revealed that 'directing has definitely become even more an option' as her film The Party’s Just Beginning prepares for a cinema release.
The Scottish actress, 32, also spoke to Country and Townhouse about her love for horror which spans back to childhood and 'murdering her dad' in a home-made film.

Karen said: 'Right now it does feel like I’ve got two careers going and the directing has definitely become even more an option for me now, having made the film.
'I made another short film as a filmmaker earlier this year, just to get the practice in, and that’s full horror, so I’m quite excited about that.'
The star explained how her love for horror goes back to her younger years when she would cast her parents in the scripts and improvise to make the special effects.
