Allison Langdon is set to co-host the Today show with Karl Stefanovic in 2020.
But before the announcement was made on Saturday, she revealed to Stellar that she was enjoying the balance she had working on 60 Minutes and co-presenting Weekend Today, while raising her young family.
The Channel Nine talent, 40, said: 'I feel like I've got this great career balance happening right now – the best of both worlds.'

'I get to do stories with 60 Minutes and I love live television. Weekend ensures I'm not doing big trips [for 60 Minutes], so I don't have to go and spend a month or six weeks overseas anymore.'
Allison is mother to two children, son Mack, two, and daughter Scout, eight months. with husband Michael Willesee Jr.
During her eight years with 60 Minutes, she has interviewed the Backstreet Boys, Neil Diamond Kevin Rudd and tennis bad boy Bernard Tomic.
She has also had close encounters with gorillas in Virunga National Park, leopard seals in the Antarctica and great white sharks off in South Africa.
