Sally Dynevor has achieved her goal of hiking to Mount Everest's base camp.

Sharing a group snap at an altitude of 5,364 metres to Instagram, the Coronation Street star, 56, couldn't contain her delight as she revealed all the participants had raised a collective £100,000 for fighting breast cancer.

The impressive feat comes ten years after Sally - who plays Sally Webster on the ITV soap - discovered she had a cancerous tumour after the storyline she was depicting inspired her to have a lump she had found on holiday checked.
