Catherine Tyldesley's holiday was put on a '27 hour delay' as her husband Tom Pitfield told how he had to go to the hospital and bring their son Alfie, four, to the doctor.
The Strictly Come Dancing star, 36, had a stressful few hours as her husband thanked her for providing the family with support after the health scare.
Taking to Instagram, Tom, 33, wrote: 'It’s been quite the week. A 27 hour delay to start the holiday followed by the hospital for me and numerous visits to the Dr for Alf.

'Thank you so much @auntiecath17 for looking after us, always scary in a foreign country. Couple of days left to reclaim a holiday. It’s amazing what sand in between your toes and sun on your face can do for recovery.'
Although she did not state the reason why the couple had to bring Alfie to the doctor, Catherine also took to Instagram and posted an adorable throwback snap of the tot in her arms.
She wrote a lengthy post alongside the photo which read: 'A Moment of Pure Gratitude.
