Sydney man sells Tupperware container of 'rare Sydney bushfire smoke' for $72

A Sydney local has sold a Tupperware container full of 'rare Sydney bushfire smoke' online for $72.

The harbour city has been intermittently blanketed by smoke in the past months due to New South Wales' ongoing bushfires.

Pedro Cuccovillo Vitola, who is former producer for KIIS FM's Kyle and Jackie O show, posted the quirky item to eBay this week and was surprised to find a buyer.

The smog on Monday, captured by Pedro, had blown over on northerly winds from a huge fire at Gospers Mountain in the Hawkesbury.  

'Easiest $72 I’ve ever made! Just sold a container full of Sydney bushfire smoke! I’m basically an entrepreneur,' Pedro wrote on Instagram on Tuesday.

Speaking to Daily Mail Australia on Tuesday, he said: 'People sell cans of fresh air from New Zealand, so I thought, maybe people are interested in bushfire smoke.'
