After making headlines, Elton John's management has confirmed he wasn't the man licking an ice cream cone at Point Lonsdale on Sunday.
The notorious photo made the front page of the Geelong Advertiser on Tuesday, which ran the headline, 'ADDY SCOOP: ELTON LOVING LONNY'.
But in a statement to the newspaper on Wednesday, the 72-year-old rocker's management confirmed the photo 'is definitely not Sir Elton'.

'He didn't go to Point Lonsdale, and returned to Sydney immediately after the Geelong concert,' they stated.
The front page featured an image of an unknown man, who bears a striking resemblance to Elton, outside the Lix Cafe in Point Lonsdale, Geelong.
