Brittany describes her new independent movie, due out next year, as a romantic comedy with plenty of laughs.

The radiographer said: 'I've always been in the medical industry so that is what I’ve focused on. Acting was just a side passion.'

Brittany was contacted directly by the director/producer of Malibu Crush about the role, and after recording a self-taped audition and meeting in person, was offered the gig.

'It's a really great bunch of people and I’m excited to be given the opportunity, and to learn from it,' Brittany said of being cast in Malibu Crush.

'I just had a ball filming that. I guess I never really spoke about my love and experience in acting as I didn’t want people to confuse my reasons for going on the show as at that point it really was always just a hobby.
