Married At First Sight smashed its own ratings record during last year's finale, drawing a national audience of 2.61 million.

But despite its commercial success, the Channel Nine reality show has been voted the 'worst show' of 2019 in a TV Tonight poll.

Readers of the respected industry website overwhelmingly voted for MAFS in the category of 'Worst Aussie Show'.

TV Tonight is a popular blog among industry professionals, so it's possible that rival networks voted for MAFS out of jealousy.
