James Packer said he hoped to spend more time in Sydney while inspecting his $2.4billion Crown Resorts Barangaroo site on Wednesday.
So it was perhaps surprising to see the 52-year-old casino mogul flying out of the city just six hours after his arrival.
The businessman boarded a private jet with his girlfriend, Kylie Lim, at 3:30pm. He had stepped off the same plane that morning at 9:30am.

James, who had resigned as a director of Crown Resorts for mental health reasons in March 2018, was in Sydney to check in on the progress of his latest casino project.
'I am happy now to live a quiet life, but I wanted to come back and see the progress at Crown Sydney with my own eyes,' he told Daily Mail Australia.
'It's even better than I imagined and again, I am extremely thankful to the workforce who have got us to this point.'

James was accompanied by his partner as they toured the Barangaroo site.
'It's really pleasing [to learn it will open three months early],' he added.
'We are truly indebted to our builders, architects and tradies who have made this possible.
'There are not many building projects this big and complex that are delivered on time and on budget. It's a credit to the Crown team, Lend Lease the Developers and our architects Wilkinson Ayre.'
James has purchased two floors of the hotel which will be converted into a home and said he plans to spend more time in the city once it is finished.
