Kate Ferdinand strolls along a sun-drenched pier hand-in-hand with husband Rio ...

Kate Ferdinand took to Instagram on Monday to share a throwback snap with her husband Rio from their recent trip abroad.

And despite looking back at the past with the photo, Kate, 28, vowed that 2020 will be about 'enjoying the moment' more, rather than worrying about what's been and what might be.

She captioned the image: 'Finally starting to feel back to me after over a week of being ill. It’s made me realise I can sometimes take for granted being healthy and active.

'One of my 2020 goals is to enjoy the moment more, realise how fortunate I am to be happy, loved and enjoying beautiful places and rather than worrying about what’s happened or what’s to come... just enjoy the moment.'

In the snap, she strolled along in a yellow skirt and a boob-tube top, holding hands with Rio who wore a teal shirt and shorts.

This comes after Kate opened up about her reason for leaving The Only Way Is Essex in 2017 following her meeting with former footballer Rio.

The reality star revealed to The Times on Saturday that she left reality TV for the sake of prioritising her three step-children, Lorenz, 13, Tate, 11, and Tia, eight.

She said: 'I just realised I couldn't be a good stepmum and be on a TV show full of little disputes and arguments and be out of the house six days a week. It wasn't healthy for the children to read headlines about me.'

The-28-year-old became stepmother to Rio's children after she married their father in Turkey last September. Their mother Rebecca Ellison tragically passed away after losing her battle with breast cancer in 2015.
