She enjoyed 14 years of marriage to the love of her life, Steve Irwin, before he was tragically killed when a stingray barb pierced his chest in 2006.

On Sunday, Terri Irwin took to Twitter to reminisce about the moment her late husband proposed to her in Queensland.

Sharing a throwback snap of the couple, the 55-year-old wrote: 'It was 28 years ago today, here at Australia Zoo, that Steve asked me to marry him. Life is constantly changing. Love is forever.'
