Lizzo admitted that past heartbreak had greatly affected her perspective of the future, as well as how she viewed her relationships with others.
But the 31-year-old sat down with The Sunday Times to discuss how learning to 'use the pain constructively' eventually made her 'open to the idea' of not only forming stronger bonds with those around her, but to, possibly, starting a family one day.
'It's different now. Like my relationship with my family, I'm working on that. I open myself up to friendships. I open myself up to the idea of children, which is big for me, because my albums are my babies.'

Lizzo explained that there was a time in her life where she truly believed she would have 'no children and 'only two friends.'
She continued: 'As f****d up as it sounds, I needed that heartbreak experience. I'm not sad, because I use the pain so constructively. The pain is human experience.'
