Amazon Studios pulls out of upcoming SXSW events in Austin, Texas due to concerns over coronavirus

Amazon Studios has pulled out of the upcoming SXSW events in Austin, Texas due to concerns over the coronavirus.

The entertainment subsidiary of Amazon has canceled all events including the premieres of episodic shows Upload and Tales From The Loop, according to an article Tuesday by Deadline.

Amazon Prime Video also scuttled their marketing party Saturday night with Entertainment Weekly.

The sci-fi satire series Upload by Greg Daniels occurs in the future where people near death can be uploaded into a virtual afterlife of their choosing.

The 10-episode series starring Robbie Amell, Andy Allo, Allegra Edwards and Kevin Bigley is scheduled to premiere in April.

Tales From The Loop is based on the narrative art book of the same title by Swedish artist Simon Stålenhag.
