Married At First Sight star Hayley Vernon spoke candidly about suffering from psoriasis - a skin condition that causes itchy and scaly patches.

The finance broker, 32, told Now To Love she first noticed an itchy spot on her left forearm the size of a five cent coin when she was a teenager.

'It was very itchy and I didn't know what it was. I thought it might have been a rash. I didn't know what to do, so I put hand sanitiser on it, thinking it would get rid of it,' she said.

She explained that the condition came at a difficult time for her as she was dealing with her parents' divorce, working at a fast food restaurant, partying a lot and drinking alcohol which caused the condition escalate.

The body building enthusiast revealed that at it's worse, the psoriasis broke out in patches on her legs, elbows knees and her ears.
