Nina Dobrev was spotted walking her dog Maverick around her neighborhood on Thursday.

She covered up in a thick black jacket as she braced the Los Angeles rain storm for the outing.

The 31-year-old actress also took to Instagram and encouraged her fans to stay safe amid the novel coronavirus crisis that is raging across the country.

While out for her walk, she paired the thigh length jacket with black white leggings that fell right below her knees.

She teamed the look with black over the ankle rain boots, a white T-shirt and rose colored glasses.

Her pooch, who she rescued back in 2017 after her cat Lynx died of an illness, seemed to enjoy some time on the grass while out of the house.

Be safe: Also on Thursday she wrote to Instagram 'If I wasn't OCD about washing my hands before [and I was], I am now' and encouraged fans to also be safe and wash their hands
