Laura Whitmore admits she is not sure how much money she has made

Laura Whitmore has revealed her financial success, confirming she has purchased two properties by the age of 34 but is not sure how much money she has made in recent years.

The Love Island presenter, who lives with her fiancé Iain Stirling, 32, purchased her first flat at the age of 26 while she also owns the home she shares with her beau. 

Speaking to The Sunday Times, Laura said she pays herself the same amount of money every month from her limited company.

She said: 'I bought a flat in Camden when I was 26, which I was extremely lucky to do. I think it’s an Irish thing about owning land, giving you a bit of security. I bought my latest property, a house in north London, a year ago.'  

Although she admitted to not knowing how much money she made last year, profits at Laura's media company Yer Wan Ltd reportedly rose to £676,500 in 2019. 

She said: 'To be honest, I don’t actually know (how much she earned last year). Money goes into my limited company and I pay myself from there.' 

Laura admitted that while she is not sure what her exact income is, her parents know because an Irish newspaper prints annual lists of high-income earners in the country.

Laura added that she is careful with her cash and sometimes, rather than buying an expensive dress, she will instead rent it out if she is only planning on wearing it once.

The TV host also recalled the early days of her career when she started out as a presenter for MTV.

Laura admitted that she had no idea what she was doing when she first started working at the station where she had to interview Coldplay on her first day. 

The star admitted: 'I had no idea what I was doing. I just faked it until I made it. I’m not confident at all — I just pretend I am.'

Laura described working at MTV as her most lucrative gig to date because it lead to so much other work but the also admitted she was not paid for her first three months at the station.
