Saturday Night Live sets season finale early with At Home edition this weekend amid COVID-19 pandemic

Saturday Night Live has announced that they are ending their 45th season early during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The variety show took to Twitter on Thursday to reveal that they will be wrapping up the season with an At Home edition this Saturday, May 9.

This will be the third episode of the season filmed entirely remotely by the castmembers from their own homes.

There will also be no host of musical guests. 

The clip accompanied in the tweet featured several castmembers struggling to film their own skits at home due to uncalled for noise and other such disasters.

 Pete Davidson, Aidy Bryant, Colin Jost, Kate McKinnon, Bowen Yang, Heidi Garner, Cecily Strong, and Chloe Fineman were all featured in the 30-second spot.
