A Gold Coast influencer has hit back at after she went viral on TikTok for complaining about how the coronavirus recession had impacted her adult entertainment career.

Billie Beever, 27, made headlines earlier week over her tearful video in which she complained about losing followers on OnlyFans, a subscription-based website that allows users to sell sexually explicit content.

She said on The Kyle and Jackie O Show on Friday that critics had told to her to 'get a job at Coles' if she couldn't afford her rent.

'I don't want to get a job at Coles, because this is my job, this is my career... Do you know how much it costs to keep up my maintenance?' she said.

'Coles won't cut that. I'm sorry, but Coles won't cut that! This s**t is expensive. I just can't. I just can't do it.'

Billie said she had been receiving 'so much hate because I do what I do for a job', adding that it was unfair of people to look down on sex workers.
