The Bachelor star Zoe-Clare McDonald had a bizarre meltdown during Wednesday's season premiere because she was the 'only redhead' in the mansion.

And now it's been revealed that the 23-year-old self-declared 'oppressed ranga' hasn't always had flame-coloured locks.

Zoe-Clare was once a bottle blonde, and looks remarkably different with lighter hair.

She dyed her hair in early 2018 and posted numerous pictures of herself on Instagram at the time.

But her walk on the lighter side only lasted a year, as she reverted to her natural colour in March last year. 

Fans flocked to social media on Wednesday, saying they couldn't believe that Zoe-Clare was once a blonde.
