The eighth season of Married At First Sight is set to begin production in two weeks.
Filming of the participants' backstories will commence on Friday, August 26, sources tell Daily Mail Australia.
The weddings won't take place until mid-September.

For the first time ever, the cast members won't meet the relationship experts face to face while filming their backstories.
Instead, they will consult with Mel Schilling, John Aiken and Dr Trisha Stratford via Zoom to comply with social distancing rules.
The weddings had originally been scheduled for late August, but were postponed because of the coronavirus pandemic.
