Macaulay Culkin reminded people to wear their face masks in a laugh-out-loud social media post Thursday.

The Home Alone star, 40, recreated a memorable moment from the film by wearing a face mask mirroring Macaulay's shocked, 10-year-old face while playing the pesky Kevin McCallister.

Culkin employed a bit of dark humor in the caption, telling fans: 'Just staying Covid-safe wearing by the flayed skin of my younger self. Don't forget to wear your masks, kids.'

The novelty mask made it look like the Party Monster actor was clutching his face, à la the movie poster.

But the proportions were off ever-so-slightly, giving his mask an unsettling edge.

It seemed like Macaulay had some time to think about the scene, as he posed in front of a mini model of the Empire State Building in a nod to the film's 1992 sequel.

While the scene is one of the film's stand-out moments, director Chris Columbus revealed how the scream was actually 'an accident,' when celebrating the film's 25th anniversary in a 2015 interview with Entertainment Weekly.
