It was been a tough day for Married At First Sight star Amanda Micallef.

The former reality star, who is currently in hotel quarantine after moving from Melbourne to Queensland's Gold Coast, vented her frustrations in an emotional series of Instagram videos on Friday.

The 34-year-old said: 'I get a knock at the door. My coffee, which took about three hours to come or whatever it was.

'I get a second knock at the door, "who's this"? They're here for testing. I go "what's going on?" and they said "well, day five testing."'

She explained that she was under the impression that testing would be done on day ten of her 14 day quarantine.

Amanda continued: 'They (testing staff) said there's been a new directive from the Chief Health Officer, and I go "were you going to communicate that or...".'

'So they've got me completely off guard and I've had to sit through this test. And I've got to say it is the most uncomfortable thing I've ever experienced in my life,' she said.

'I actually cried after it, I didn't like it,' she said, but before describing the feeling she trailed off and appeared to become emotional.

Back in August, Amanda announced top her legions of followers that she was moving from Melbourne to the Gold Coast to 'start a brand new life' in the Sunshine state as a result of the Victorian COVID crisis.
