The Weeknd sings in Spanish for the first time on remix of Maluma's Hawái and dubs himself 'el fin de semana'

He stole the hearts of many with his costume of scientist Sherman Klump from Eddie Murphy's The Nutty Professor over the weekend.

And The Weeknd's next experiment was singing in a language he never has before. 

The 30-year-old singer - real name Abel Makkonen Tesfaye - sung in Spanish for the first time in his career for the remix of Maluma's Hawái as the music video released on Thursday.

The Weeknd sang in English before he impressively tackled the chorus of the song in Spanish  while joined by the Colombian singer whose real name is Juan Luis Londoño Arias.

The two sung in an empty room with an intricate modern chandelier and blue mood lighting as there were also scenes of the artists flirting with beautiful women throughout the over three-and-a-half minute clip.

The music video was filmed in Los Angeles by director Jessy Terrero of Cinema Giants.

The song is already a hit as the song has remained at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot Latin Songs chart for eight weeks. 

The Weeknd even gained a new name from the track as he dubbed himself 'el fin de semana' in a Tweet posted on Wednesday.
