The character's description includes more details about Caldwell, including that he 'realized the American dream by going from driving big rigs, just like his father did, to know owning several trucks and the local truck stop.'

He is also described as, 'powerful, generous, loved by everyone' and a 'true man of the people.'

There is no indication yet if Iron Lake will serve as the setting for this new series, though it has been confirmed to be set in present day, seven years after the 2013 finale.

Hall recently opened up about the controversial finale in an interview with The Daily Beast, where he pulled no punches about his thoughts on the finale.

'Let’s be real: people found the way that show left things pretty unsatisfying, and there’s always been a hope that a story would emerge that would be worth telling,' he said.
