With Fox's Prodigal Son returning with its Season 2 premiere on January 12, the show will be getting a new addition to the cast later this season.
Catherine Zeta-Jones has signed on for the series regular role of Dr. Vivian Capshaw, according to a Fox press release.
The 51-year-old actress will be working alongside Michael Sheen, who also hales from her homeland Wales, debuting in the 'latter half of the season.'

The second season will find Sheen's Dr. Martin Whitly assigned to infirmary duty, where he meets Capshaw.
Capshaw, 'revels in tasking 'The Surgeon' to clean bedpans and mop the floor,' according to the official description.
Surprisingly, Capshaw sees that Whitley becomes, 'valuable in treating patients,' as she starts to, 'see him in a new light... which is not a good thing.'
