Reynold Poernomo is known as the 'dessert king' and owns two KOI eateries geared towards sweet treats - with a third soon opening. 

But the MasterChef Australia star, 27, admits that he doesn't eat his own creations - and isn't a big fan of sweets in general.

He told The Courier Mail on Sunday: 'I don't eat my own creations; I taste them but usually I just prefer gelato, always salted caramel. I'm not a big sweet tooth.'

Reynold owns to KOI Dessert Bars in Sydney, and is about to open a third location in Melbourne.

He is also updating his Sydney restaurant in Chippendale with an all new menu.
