Cara Delevingne admits she's 'taken pride' in her enjoyment of sex

Cara Delevingne has revealed she's 'taken pride' in her enjoyment of sex and wants to 'take away the stigma' around orgasms.

In a candid new interview, the model, 28, explained she believes people still find the topic of sex 'unbelievably uncomfortable' and she wants to 'open up the conversation' around self-pleasure.

Cara, who admitted her own sexuality changes like a 'pendulum swinging,' added that it's 'important' to discuss the taboo subject of women taking pleasure from sex, as it's something she unknowingly ignored for many years.

Speaking on a Pride episode of podcast Make It Reign with Josh Smith, Cara explained she's changing the stigma around the topic by launching her own line of sex toys.

She said: 'It's not trying to alienate men and women or how you identify, it's about opening the conversation of self-pleasure and what it means to you.

'It's so interesting when you start talking about sex and how many people find it unbelievably uncomfortable. Setting up Lora DiCarlo has made me take pride in my sexuality, 100 per cent.

'It's really taking pride in my sexual identity, my sexuality and taking pride in my sexual needs as well, to take ownership of my orgasm.'

Cara went onto add: 'It's so much easier to tell a partner what you want if you know what you want. We're taught that men are hornier creatures — it's just not true.

'It's still there, just a bit more under the surface, but the needs are very much the same. We're not taught to honour that, or think about that. It comes last, the pleasure part.

'The amount of times I'd have sex and that wasn't even a thought — ''Oh I could have an orgasm right now'' — it was just sex. That wasn't even on the list of things during sex. It's important to talk about these things.'

During the interview Cara, who identifies as pansexual, said the way she 'defines' herself 'changes all the time' and spoke about how much more 'comfortable' she is now with her sexuality than what she used to be.

Cara also revealed when she was younger she would 'self-shame' because of her sexuality,  but has now learnt to embrace who she really is.
