Wednesday night's Season 8 finale of The Blacklist not only marked the end of this new season, but also the end of Megan Boone's tenure on the show.
NBC announced back in January that they were renewing the hit drama series for a ninth season, though it was announced last week that Boone, 38, will not be returning for the ninth season.
After the Season 8 finale aired on Wednesday night, Boone took to Instagram to wish a fond farewell to the show and its fans.

'Spoiler… This experience, for me, has been an entire life inside of my own life,' Boone began.
'These eight years playing Liz Keen have helped me better define the world and myself, as she set out to do the same,' she added.
'Liz sought incorruptible familial bonds, and collided with powerful forces to reveal the boundaries where a cruel, indifferent world ended and she began,' Boone continued.

The actress added that she was 'grateful' for the people she got to share her time with on the show such as cast members and, 'our incredible crew who carried every single day for all
