Sex Education's third season has been given an official release date, with Netflix confirming on Thursday that it will air on September 17, 2021.
The streaming service announced the show will return with eight new episodes and also shared first look images from its hotly-anticipated comeback.
In new images, Otis Milburn (Asa Butterfield) was seen enjoying some downtime with friend Eric Effiong (Ncuti Gatwa), while Maeve Wiley (Emma Mackey) and Aimee Gibbs (Aimee Lou Wood) looked tense while walking by the beach.

Teasing what's the come in the third season, Netflix revealed the show will see Otis having a lot of casual sex, despite his declaration of love to Maeve at the end of season two.
Meanwhile, Eric and Adam Groff (Connor Swindells) are going steady after they revealed their love for each other at their school musical.
It was also revealed that Moordale is set to have a new headteacher called Hope, played by Jemima Kirke, who is said to be keen to make the school 'a pillar of excellence'.
New cast members to the show include Jason Isaacs who will be playing Mr Groff's more successful, recording-artist brother Peter, while Dua Saleh will be playing nonbinary student Cal.
