But Delta Goodrem's fans were up in arms over the fact that the virus coincidentally shares the same name with the beloved pop princess.

While the shared name between Delta the singer and Delta the variant is coincidental, it didn't stop Australian fans from flocking to Twitter to share their humorous tweets about the songstress and the virus.
