Love Island 2021: Where are the Islanders now?

Over the past five years, it seems Love Island has become better know for creating stars than finding love.

And while many of the stars entered with regular day jobs, a host of the contestants have gone on to capitalise of their appearance and found mega fame - and money elsewhere.

From OnlyFans to working with Boris Johnson, the show has helped a legion of stars to shoot to stratospheric success with the help of the boost on the ITV show.

We take a look at some of the stars of the show and where they are now...

Wes was a fan favourite when he entered the Love Island villa in 2018's fourth series and after tumultuous relations with a host of his co-stars he found love with Megan Barton Hanson.

The couple finished in fourth place before splitting the following year when she grew suspicious of his relationship with his Dancing On Ice co-star. He later appeared on The X Factor: Celebrity.

Last year however, Wes' star took an incredible turn when he released his single See Nobody with Hardy Caprio.

Reaching a staggering number three in UK charts and number nine in Ireland, he also scored a gold certificate on the song from the British Phonographic Industry.

He has just released his new single Nice To Meet Ya with Yxng Bane and critics have him tipped to continue in his stratospheric storming of the charts - worlds away from his beginnings in the Mallorcan villa.

As well as his music, Wes is also a property investor - which he revealed made him a millionaire at 21.

DR ALEX GEORGE, 30 - FRONTLINE FIGHTER AND GOVERNMENT AMBASSADOR

THEN: Doctor

NOW: Doctor and Government Youth Mental Health Ambassador

Unlike many stars of the show, he returned to his job as an A&E doctor and has been fighting on the frontline during the coronavirus pandemic before establishing his role in government.

In February, he was appointed Youth Mental Health Ambassador by Boris Johnson after speaking out following his brother's death last year. He has been passionately campaigning for better mental health provision as he struggled with the loss of his brother Llŷr, who took his life at the age of 19 in July.

The A&E doctor met with the Prime Minister in No. 10 Downing Street as he was appointed into the unpaid role.

His role as Youth Mental Health Ambassador will be to advise government, help shape policy on improving support for young people and raise the profile of mental health education and wellbeing in schools.

Prime Minister Boris Johnson said he was 'delighted' to appoint Dr. Alex as a Youth Mental Health Ambassador, saying: 'Children and young people have heroically adapted to save lives and protect our NHS.

'This has understandably had a huge impact on their mental health, so I want to shine a spotlight on this vital issue ahead of their return to school. I'm delighted that Dr. Alex George will be working with us as we do everything in our power to improve people's mental wellbeing.'
