Contestants on this year's series of Love Island reportedly had to reveal if they had any STIs before entering villa.

The 2021 line up had to confess on a medical form if they have herpes or genital ulcers in particular, according to The Sun 

The publication reports that after lockdown bosses wanted to avoid any infections being passed on between the sex-starved singletons.

A source said: 'The safety of the Islanders is paramount and the show's bosses can't run the risk of anyone catching a life-changing STD in the villa.'

Herpes is incurable and easy to pass on via sexual contact. None of the islanders in the villa have any STIs.

It comes after Love Island saw the first brutal twist of the series as Shannon Singh was sensationally dumped from the villa after new girl Chloe Burrows chose Aaron Francis during the recoupling.

The Only Fans star, 25, was shockingly asked to pack her bags and leave the villa on Wednesday after just two days, despite having quarantined for two weeks before going on the show.  

ITV2 viewers were left stunned at the result, with one asking: 'Did she even unpack her bikini?' as they questioned whether it was even worth her quarantining.

Following Chloe's decision to couple up with hunk Aaron, Shannon immediately received a text asking her to exit the villa.  

Chloe was very apologetic to the former glamour model and exclaimed: 'I'm so sorry!' as the other islanders reeled in shock. 

Shannon looked completely stunned as she commented on her short stay in the villa, while Kaz moaned they didn't get to wear matching outfits.   

Watching at home, viewers were quick to react to the bombshell news as Shannon became the fastest ever contestant to be eliminated from the show.

Elsewhere, following Shannon's exit, Chloe pulled Aaron for a chat where she revealed he was her 'favourite' islander.

With Chloe adding: 'My conversation with you was my favourite. I felt like you just made me feel so comfortable and we had a lot to talk about. We had a really good conversation.'

The blonde beauty later reflected in the beach hut: 'I think I’ve made the right decision for me right now.

It comes after Love Island fans were left less than impressed during Tuesday night's episode as the show ended without revealing who Chloe coupled up with.

The bombshell's arrival was teased on Monday's episode with Chloe given 24 hours to choose which boy she wanted to be in a couple with, leaving one girl single.

At the end of the episode, Chloe gave a speech as to why she had chosen the boy, saying she thought he was 'absolutely gorgeous'.
