Below Deck Sailing Yacht star Dani Soares recently welcomed a baby daughter named Lilly Rose.

And on Wednesday, the 33-year-old opened up about how difficult her motherhood journey has been so far.

The Brazilian-born yachtie is now based permanently in Sydney, Australia, but her family still lives in Brazil, which has left her with little support since Lilly's birth.

'I'm tired, it's not easy, but seeing her little face just makes everything worth it,' she said on Instagram.

'It's been hard from the beginning,' she continued. 'We don't share how hard it is, we just see perfect pictures on Instagram and it's been really, really hard for the first couple of weeks with breastfeeding and being alone.

'I'm terrible at asking for help because for the first 11 years I've basically been on my own and making my own decisions, but you do need help.

'You need as much help as you can get and it's just been really hard, but I'm getting smiles now so that makes everything worth it.'

Dani said that the best advice she could give any other single mothers is to make sure you have friends and family around, and a great support system.

Unfortunately for the Bravo star, she was unable to bring her own mum over from Brazil to help with the baby due to coronavirus restrictions and steep quarantine costs.

Dani's also unable to take advantage of Australia's paid maternity leave because she's been in Australia for less than a year, leaving her to have to live off her savings.

'I have to go back to work next month and leave Lilly in childcare, so sad,' she said.

While she's preparing to go back to work as a beauty therapist, Dani has also been studying part time to become a nurse, which she calls her 'dream job'.

She also added that she doesn't plan to leave Australia and wouldn't want to live anywhere else.

'I'm so happy that I'm here and I would not leave this country for any reason, whatsoever. It's the best country for me and my daughter, one hundred per cent.'
