Adam Woodyatt has warned soap fans that Ian Beale may never return to EastEnders while enjoying his 10-month sabbatical from the show.

The actor, 53, who is the longest running cast member on the soap having started 36 years ago in 1985, has been touring around the UK in his £93,000 motorhome while also starring in the play Looking Good Dead.

Speaking to Metro, he revealed: 'I won’t be going back until this time next year at the absolute earliest. I’m committed to touring with Looking Good Dead until the end of October. I’m then going to America because my daughter is getting married.
