Britney Spears' mom Lynne 'concerned over Jamie's role in conservatorship'

Britney Spears is reportedly leaning on her mom Lynne for support in her fight to end her conservatorship and the 66-year-old is said to be in favor of removing Jamie Spears as the conservator, People Magazine reported on Thursday.

In this week's cover story, a source told the outlet that the 39-year-old popstar 'begged' for her mom to stand by her and that Lynne has 'concerns' over her ex-husband's role in controlling their daughter's estate.

Spears has been under the conservatorship for 13 years and last week provided bombshell testimony to the court about the 'abuse' she said she has suffered under the thumb of her father. 

'Britney begged [Lynne] for help,' an insider told People.

'Lynne feels there are a lot of concerns with the conservatorship,' they added. 'She feels Jamie has not been transparent with her and is helping Britney as much as she can.' 

Last fall Lynne appeared in court alongside her daughter when she first began her quest to have Jamie Spears permanently removed as conservator.

Through attorneys, Lynne and Jamie (who split in 2002), have been throwing jabs at each other while a judge in Los Angeles reviews the conservatorship.

They squabbled over money with Lynne accusing Jamie of being 'improper' for taking nearly a million dollars out of their daughter's estate to cover legal fees.   

This comes as Britney suffered a setback in the case
