A former Victoria's Secret model has sensationally claimed she was told to 'do cocaine' and 'have lots of sex' to lose weight when she was under 18, during the early stages of her modelling career.

Australian model Bridget Malcolm, 29, shared stories of her traumatic past in a video on TikTok, revealing she developed PTSD, anorexia and depression before suffering a nervous breakdown at the age of 26.

Bridget, who is fighting for change in the modelling industry, said: 'By the age of 18, I'd travelled to all continents except for Antarctica. I'd been groomed by a much older man. I'd been sexually assaulted multiple times.

'I'd been told to do cocaine - been told weekly - to lose weight. I was under a lot of pressure to lose weight.'

She continued: 'I developed PTSD. I'd been told while I was underage to have lots of sex to lose weight. I was struggling my with gender identity, anorexia, orthorexia, anxiety and depression.'

She added that she couldn't socialise without drinking, and developed a reliance on using Xanax to help 'get her through the night'.

'That was before I turned 18. It didn't get better before then,' she added.

Eight years later, Bridget suffered a nervous breakdown on her 26th birthday.

'I couldn't leave my house for a year without panic attacks and severe anxiety,' she added. 'I also had a bout with suicidal ideation which was terrifying. That was four years ago.'

Now, Bridget says she is two-plus years sober and four years in recovery from an eating disorder.

'I'm happy. I'm balanced. I'm strong and I feel the best I've ever felt,' she said.

'The reality is, I couldn't talk about my experiences before I reached this place because I would have intense PTSD flashbacks. I would have panic attacks and I wouldn't be okay.'
