Tamzin Outhwaite took to Twitter on Thursday to thank fans who sent well-wishes after she saved three children from drowning in an outdoor pool on Monday. Speaking for the first time about the incident, Tamzin, 50, revealed she did not actually know the three children who were aged under 10 and from the same family. She added that it was 'traumatic for all' but that she was just 'relieved they were all OK.' 'They were all from the same family, who could not swim & I did not know them. It was traumatic for all but i am just relieved that they are all ok.' A source had previously said Tamzin had plunged into the water fully-clothed 'without a second's doubt' before the other parents could react, as she rescued the children. One witness told The Sun following the incident: 'Tamzin is a hero. She leapt into the water without hesitation. It was very dramatic. 'There were a couple of doctors at the party who checked the kids were OK and gave them a clean bill of health. But it left many people shaken.' The source continued to praise mum-of-two Tamzin's quick reactions, saying she was the first to jump in and help the youngsters. They added that the actress, who played Mel Owen in the BBC soap, had reacted 'so fast' that the three children were 'all safe' by the time anybody else had reached the pool. Another bystander called the actress a 'superstar' and a 'legend' as they praised her down-to-earth attitude.
