Madonna joined a long list of celebrities who have voiced their support for Britney Spears amid her ongoing conservatorship battle.
The 62-year-old superstar shared a photo to Instagram on Thursday wearing a T-shirt with the pop star's name on it, and likened her situation to that of 'slavery,' while promising that they would fight to get her 'out of jail.'
In 2011, the Toxic singer, 39, had credited Madonna with helping her get her life back on track following her early mental health outbursts, and it seemed this time around Madonna was hoping to be another ray of light.

In the throwback snap Madonna looked youthful while wearing a bedazzled Britney tank top with a pink furry shawl, and publicly pleaded for the singer.
'Give this woman her life back Slavery was abolished so long ago! Death to the greedy patriarchy that has been doing this to women for centuries.'
'This is a violation of human rights! Britney we coming to get you out of jail!,' she wrote.
The musical powerhouses had collaborated in 2003 on Me Against the Music and notoriously shared a kiss on stage at the MTV VMAs.
